Following that, and my tweets about it, I was asked to write a piece for Glamour Magazine about the sexism inherent in the ONS data and the way women’s fertility and reproductive choices are monitored but men’s are not.
“It's time to take an intersectional approach to reproductive justice. Let's ask men too. Let's make sure that when we talk about reproduction and fertility, all genders are accounted for and have the same freedom to choose for themselves and their bodies.”
And, once again, I am thinking of this quote by audre lorde:
“I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.”
